For Foxy Friday, I offer this cute melanistic Red Fox pup. It should turn out to be a magnificent looking adult with such a unique color pattern. 😄

Pour ce Vendredi Rusé, je vous propose ce mignon petit renard roux mélanique. Il deviendra sans aucun doute un magnifique adulte avec un pelage aussi unique. 😄

Mama and Pup 🦊🦊 / Maman et son chiot 🦊🦊

Melanistic Red Fox with her pup. Mama was posing for a photo but the pup had different interests. 😄 This was the only visible pup, so hopefully there are more that survived.

Renarde rousse mélanique avec son petit. La maman posait pour la photo, mais le petit avait d'autres priorités. 😄 C'était le seul petit visible, alors espérons qu'il y en a d'autres qui ont survécu.

Such a Beautiful Sight 🦊🦊 / Un Spectacle Magnifique 🦊🦊

Found this beautiful melanistic Red Fox with her (also melanistic) pup next to a forested area. They are not full silver foxes due to some remaining reddish markings on them. Now here is my plea: They were also not far from the road so please slow down and keep an eye out for wildlife. They are on the move with little ones right now.👍

J'ai trouvé cette magnifique Renarde Rousse mélanique avec son petit (lui aussi mélanique) près d'une zone boisée. Ce ne sont pas des renards entièrement argenté car ils conservent quelques marques rousses. Je vous en prie : ils n'étaient pas loin de la route, alors ralentissez et soyez attentifs à la faune sauvage. Ils sont en plein déménagement avec leurs petits en ce moment. 👍👍

Such a Treat 🪽/ Un tel Régal 🪽

A few weeks ago we were treated to the rare visit of a couple of Snowy Owls. They stayed for about a week before heading back on their migration north. I am still going through my photos from that week and this one stands out. One was a male and this one a female. She flew down from her perch trying to catch something and then spent some time on the ground observing.🙂

Il y a quelques semaines, nous avons eu la chance d'observer un couple de Harfangs des neiges, un événement rare. Elles sont restées environ une semaine avant de reprendre leur migration vers le nord. Je suis encore en train de trier mes photos de cette semaine-là et celle-ci me plaît particulièrement. L'un était un mâle et l'autre une femelle. Elle a plongé de son perchoir en essayant d'attraper quelque chose, puis est demeuré un moment au sol pour observer. 🙂

A Great Blue Heron standing still and intently looking for its next meal. They can stay still for long periods only to violently strike on their prey with their long beak 🙂

Un Grand héron immobile, à l'affût de sa prochaine proie. Il peuvent rester immobile pendant de longues périodes avant de frapper violemment leurs proie de leurs long bec 🙂

Swallows Congregation🐦 / Congrégation d'hirondelles🐦

Tree Swallows congregating on the boardwalk railings at the ''Irving Ecocenter- La Dune de Bouctouche'' in the early morning light. They were busy flying around for mosquitoes but took a break allowing for this capture 🙂

Des hirondelles bicolores se rassemblent sur les rambardes de la promenade de ''l'Écocentre Irving – La Dune de Bouctouche'' sous la douce lumière du matin. Elles s'affairent à chasser les moustiques, mais mon offert cette pause pour une photo🙂

Hungry Little Porcupine 🌿 / Petit porc-épic affamé 🌿

Stumbled upon this little Porcupine having breakfast by the side of the road. He was not bothered by me at all but I kept reasonable distance and this is a highly cropped image, so some details are lacking. 🥹

Je suis tombée par hasard sur ce petit porc-épic qui prenait son petit-déjeuner au bord de la route. Il n'était pas du tout dérangé par ma présence, mais j'ai gardé une distance raisonnable et la photo est très recadrée, donc certains détails manquent. 🥹

Northern Pintail dabbling in a shallow pond 🙂 / Canard pilet barbotant dans un étang peu profond🙂

This is my first sighting and captured image of a Northern Pintail. 😁 Found it in a shallow pond at Point Escuminac. It seemed to be by itself.

Voici ma première observation et la première photo que j'ai prise d'un Canard pilet. 😁 Je l'ai trouvé dans un étang peu profond à Point Escuminac. Il semblait être seul.

Graceful Flight of the Great Egret 🪽 / Le vol gracieux de la Grande Aigrette 🪽

Great Egrets are such graceful flyers. This one was circling the wetlands in the marsh at dawn as it looked for its next fishing spot.

Les Grandes Aigrettes sont si gracieuses en vol. Celle-ci survolait les zones humides du marais à l'aube, à la recherche de son prochain lieu de pêche.
