Wonderful visitor 🙂 / De la belle visite 🙂

A beautiful Marbled Godwit is paying us a rare visit. Most breed in the Prairies with some also in Hudson's Bay. This one has been foraging in a local marsh for a few day's. Like many other photographers and birders in the area, this is a lifer for me 🙂

Une magnifique Barge marbrée nous rend une visite rare. La plupart de ces oiseaux nichent dans les Prairies, et certains également dans la région de la baie d'Hudson. Celui-ci se nourri dans un marais local depuis quelques jours. Comme pour beaucoup d'autres photographes et ornithologues de la région, c'est une première pour moi 🙂

Was there looking for wildlife but could not resist capturing this beautiful sunrise over misty fields. I often skip but should capture these moments more often. 🙂

J'étais là pour observer la faune sauvage, mais je n'ai pas pu résister à l'envie d'immortaliser ce magnifique lever de soleil sur les champs brumeux. Je saute souvent ces occasions, mais je devrais les capturer plus souvent. 🙂

Just Waking Up 🌞 / À peine réveillé 🌞

I believe this is an American Black Duck female that was just waking up on the edge of the pond. She was totally not concerned with me being around allowing for this profile portrait. I was still a good 20ft away as I was using a long lens.😁

Je pense qu'il s'agit d'une femelle Canard noir qui venait tout juste de se réveiller au bord de l'étang. Ma présence ne la dérangeait absolument pas, ce qui a permis ce portrait de profil. J'étais pourtant encore à une bonne vingtaine de pieds (environ 6 mètres) d'elle, car j'utilisais un téléobjectif. 😁
