This one’s an emotional one, because not only do I love these two so much: they’re family.
Watching my little cousin grow into the strong, resilient, and incredibly loving woman she is today has been such a gift. I truly couldn’t ask for a better person for her to marry.
Jessica has become the continuing matriarch of our family after we lost my sweet mom and grandma. She’s carried us through so much, taking on countless hours of work so the rest of us didn’t have to carry that weight. If you ever need someone, she’s there without hesitation. You can count on a thoughtful card and, more often than not, a special gift showing up at your door for every milestone (and even the heartbreaks).
From learning how to swim together, to never leaving the lake until the sun went down, to our trips to Florida and growing up as built-in best friends… I have so many memories that I’ll cherish forever.
I can’t even put into words how proud I am of you. It’s such an honour to stand beside you on your biggest day next year. I know Mom and Grandma will be with us: in every dragonfly, every loon call, and every sunset we get that day.
