Look who I had the privilege of seeing last night!
Wallace the badger. 
A bit of a loner, a deep thinker.
Built his house on a gravel road….. almost in the ditch, but not quite.
Do you know why?
Because Wallace is not scared.
Of anything.
Not joking.
Favourite foods: gophers, squirrels, and photographers. 
Hopes and aspirations: to become a bestselling novelist, writing books about how not to become a statistic, by not building your house on a busy gravel road. 
Hobbies: Digging, a bit more digging, and digging a little more.
Favorite hobbies: smelling and pondering.
The wherefore and the why.

I know they’re usually mean but this one was surprisingly friendly!
I actually got to pet it a few times and he wasn’t even scared.
And also that’s a lie.
I was so excited I’ve never seen one close up or at all for that matter.
He’s so cute though. ♥️

This is a view you can find all over the place on the prairies. I’ve seen it and similar a million times and I always admire it. There’s a feeling that comes with this view. A feeling of perfect contentment. Even if it’s temporary. I love that view. ♥️

This is one of my favourite sights in summer in Manitoba.
And I always make sure to look inside, because sometimes there’s somebody sleeping in there! How delightful to find a tiny winged creature having a little snooze inside of a magical yellow ladyslipper!
