Oh I was a grump-a-lotapus today! I was ready to call it quits by 8:59 am 😅😂 That mood seemed to carry on for most of the day 🌩️😖. I noticed everyone I talked to seemed to be having a day as well, something stinky was definitely in the water today.

Insert these two into my evening and I’m a changed person! I laughed so hard I cried, couldn’t breathe and coughed to the point my voice is now hoarse again 🤧 In case you were looking for the dying dinosaur at the discovery centre tonight; it was just me ( and a side of mom). She’s fine. I’m fine; mostly.

In case you had a day today too, here’s a breath of fresh air. I just wish you could hear the live action giggles and snorts that were happening!

A NEW HOME FOR MANDY WARK PHOTOGRAPHY 🤍

Well… it’s official. Mandy Wark Photography has a new home! 📸

I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be sharing studio space with Rob & Michelle at Keywest Photo image by design here in Brandon.

A huge thank you to Rob and Michelle for approaching me, welcoming me into their space, and trusting me to be part of it. I’m genuinely looking forward to this next chapter and all of the new things that are coming with it. 🖤

There’s something pretty exciting about being back downtown and having a space that feels like a fresh start while still being surrounded by people who understand the photography world.

A few things to keep in mind:
✨ I am still by appointment only.
✨ I will not be there during KeyWest’s regular business hours.
✨ If you need to see me, please reach out directly to book an appointment rather than stopping in or contacting Rob & Michelle. They have their own businesses and work to do, and I don’t want my clients interrupting their day trying to track me down. 😉

I’ll have more to share as I get settled in, but for now…

Here’s to a new space, a new chapter, and lots of pretty things to come. 🖤📸

Roberto & Nelisa 🤍

From saying “I do” at the Fort Garry Hotel to wandering through the absolutely STUNNING Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, these two had a wedding day that was beautiful from beginning to end.

Their story started with a shared love of Pokémon, which has taken them near and far as they’ve travelled and played together along the way. And honestly, it feels pretty fitting that their story involves adventure, because these two are clearly made for doing life together.

They compliment each other in every way, and it was such a joy to spend the day watching them celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them.

And Leo Mol Sculpture Garden? Absolutely stunning. Everywhere you looked there was another beautiful spot, and it made the perfect backdrop for their portraits.

I’m so thankful I got to be part of Roberto and Nelisa’s beautiful wedding day in Winnipeg. 🤍

Congratulations to you both! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures, travels, and plenty more Pokémon along the way. ✨

Hung out with a longtime friend this weekend in Winnipeg who also happens to be a photographer.

Did we take a single picture together?

Nope. Not one.

Because apparently when two photographers hang out, the cameras get left alone and we just… hang out. Fun fact, a lot of photographers hate having their picture taken 😅.

Then, two days later, this showed up in my mailbox after I made a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society earlier this year.

And because the universe has a sense of humour, the cover photo was taken by the very same lady I was hanging out with this weekend.

So technically, I did get a photo from my photographer friend.

Just not of us. 😂

I’ll take it. ❤️

The weather apps said clear skies and sunshine right up until sunset.

Mother Nature said, hold my b**r. 🍻

In came the dark clouds out of absolutely nowhere… and yes, there may have been a tiny bit of PTSD from this spring’s grad season. IYKYK. 😂

But honestly? I’m not mad about it AT ALL.

We went looking for that golden light, but Mother Nature had other plans… and I’m pretty sure her version was even better.

You’d never know it had been a cold, blustery day.

The wind settled.
The sun dipped low.
And suddenly, the Saskatchewan landscape was nothing but golden light stretching endlessly toward the horizon.

Quiet. Still. Almost unreal.

Just the two of them, standing in the middle of it all.
