Bees from yesterday! This is the BEST time to capture them; they are at the end of their season and many are too tired to make it home in the evenings so they nestle themselves in the flowers for the night. There's always a TON of them on the monarda. It's a great time to get up close shots, and sneak in a few pets ;)

I need to get more photos of the pollinators in my yard today!!!! the monarda as always is SO FULL of bees! different sizes, shapes, and colours! Some SOOO tiny, some are GREEN!! The other day this full black and shiny carpenter bee was getting filled up with the usual bumbles & leafcutters! ...there's sometimes pretty moths on my fence in the morning, and the little dragonflies hang out on my hyssop & wild onions.

if you want to see more pollinators, plants more tall native grasses & flowers
