A look at the progression at the spill way at Lake of the Prairies from July 4th until today August 8th. The water level is marked on the under side of the bridge on one of the legs. It was higher than the picture from July 4th but we weren't in the area to capture it at its peak. It still has a way to go but it's come a long way.

Very high water levels at LOTP and surrounding areas. We don't need anymore rain for awhile!

How much rain and hail did you all get in your area?We had pea sized hail here and about 82mm of rain.

Our annual June trip to LotP so far. We've been battling Mother Nature with Rain and potential Thunder Showers. We haven't been able to get the cameras out yet so thought I'd share some pictures.

Yesterday Ken put us to shame and kicked butt by catching 3 times the fish that James Gillespie and I caught together! He even caught a nice Master Perch!

Today was too rainy to be in the boat so we did some shore fishing. We went out for 2 hours and besides getting soaked we caught a few nice Carp, I lost 3 big ones and James and I both caught a masters. So all in all a success 2 hours!

The Typical Manitoba May Long Weekend Weather didn't keep us at home. We braved the winds, rain and snow and took part in the Walleye Gold Rush Tournament.

We went into today with the hopes of catching 5 fish over 18 inches as yesterday's prefishing left us second guessing everything we know about finding and catching Walleye.

With todays results it goes to show you how different each day of fishing can be. We Rocked It! We pulled off an amazing stringer of 5 with a total of 130.25 inches.

If the weather wasn't enough to make us remember this weekend, James caught 2 Master Walleye's a 30.25" and a 28.25" which sealed the win for our team and landed him the Biggest Walleye caught in the tournament! Congratulations James!!

We decided to call it quits early and were back on land with hour left in the tournament as we were all throughly chilled soaked.

First trip out in the boat and we wake up to snow! O well off to find some Walleye ๐Ÿ™‚
