PORTFOLIO REVEAL CONTINUED!

Here it is!! The farm reveal! There were so many great shots I had a hard time narrowing them down. We were so lucky to have a friend offer up their beautiful farm which was such a fun setting for this formal gown session. This will completely shock you but she isn’t a professional model! She should be though, right?! 😍😍

Although this wasn’t planned as a milestone session it definitely could be. A shoot like this is so versatile! I can even picture prom pics in a setting like this! So fun!

These ladies have STYLE! Such a fun mix of personalities which made for a super fun session! One thing they all have in common is they know how to have a good time! Something as simple as exploring a local trail was turned into cherished memories. 😊

EA/TEF AWARENESS MONTH!

Just a quick break from the portfolio reveal to post about something close to my heart. January is EA/TEF (esophageal atresia/tracheoesophageal fistula) awareness month and I’m a bit of an expert in this department. My daughter was born with this condition, one of roughly 4500 a year, which meant she couldn’t eat or swallow when born. Her esophagus didn’t connect to her stomach and her trachea was attached to her esophagus. This required major surgery in the first few days of life and we are so lucky to have who performed her repair. Those first few years were tough as many TEF kids, as we call them, have several challenges and complications even after their repair. In our case things have significantly improved over the years but every TEF (or TOF for our UK friends) journey is different.

In our EA/TEF community we call these kids “TEF warriors” because let me tell you, these kids are TOUGH AS NAILS. This girl is no exception! This month we celebrate how far she’s come, spread awareness and think of those families in the thick of it.
