Before I grab my camera, I always remind myself: I’m not needed for beautiful moments to happen between two people that love each other. My job is to catch those moments, and help out with direction when needed.

Logan and Jordan made it all too easy to find those moments. They were just bursting with fun and love. As we hiked up that thick, grassy hill to the lookout, we chatted and laughed. I threw in a few directions, but mostly, I just hung back, watching their genuine selves shine through.

I don’t often post photos of myself, but this one reminded me of why I love shooting weddings.

In this photo, my wife Tina and I are savoring a quiet moment in the church office, just the two of us, right after our ceremony last summer before heading out to see our friends and family for the first time as a married couple.

Every time I look at this photo, I’m brought back to the feelings and emotions of that beautiful time.

I’m so thankful I get to help document cherished moments for a living, so others can relive those emotions like this photo does for me.

Nostalgia flooded in during this High Park sun-soaked session, reminding me of my days editing photos at the park’s Grenadier Cafe as a newspaper photographer in Toronto.

The cafe’s serene vibe is an oasis in the heart of the bustling city, making it a wonderful location for photos.

Ellie & Dan’s laid-back and confident charm made the shoot a blast, even more excited for their art gallery wedding this year!

Closing out every wedding, there’s this same moment – I’ve just said my goodbyes to the bride and groom, now feeling like part of the family.
As I step out into the fresh air, the venue door closes behind me, and suddenly, it’s quiet. The hum of the party fades away, and with a sore back and sweaty clothes, I take a deep breath and feel a profound buzz of gratitude and relief. I’ve done my job and witnessed so many beautiful moments. Liz and Joey’s Ancaster Mill wedding was no exception.

Their style, smiles, and a genuine great attitude had everyone beaming. Liz and Joey’s kindness created a ripple effect, making a relaxed and positive atmosphere to document.

Looking at these photos now brings back that same excitement that I felt as I walked out of the wedding that beautiful evening.

Shoutout to the coordinators at for making the day seamless. More photos of this day to come!

Feeling extra nostalgic today. Can’t believe it’s been a whole decade since I photographed my first wedding.

I was in college for photojournalism at the time and a family friend handed me the chance to second shoot their wedding. Grateful for the opportunity, I approached it with the aim of capturing moments as if I were just another guest.

Looking back now, it was a perfect first wedding with an amazingly relaxed and fun couple. Fast forward a decade, and I still go into weddings with that same spirit – not just as the photographer but as a friend and a guest.

Time flies, but the love and joy in those photos remain. Thanks to the amazing couple who trusted a newbie like me to capture their special day.
