🤎 A little behind the camera ⛰️🌲
These two photos are a little glimpse into why I love what I do so much.
The first photo was taken with a self timer while our family was exploring the mountains. I wanted to capture this season of our lives, the adventures, the chaos, the kids growing, and the memories we are making along the way.
The second photo of Cody and I was taken by my daughter while we were exploring Cathedral Grove. She’s not only my daughter, but she’s also my little second shooter from time to time, learning behind the camera, capturing moments, and seeing firsthand why preserving memories is so special. 🤍
Photos aren’t just images. They are the moments we get to hold onto long after the day has passed.
As we head into the busiest time of year, I wanted to share a little behind the scenes of what happens after you step in front of my camera.
First, I just want to say thank you. Truly. The trust you place in me to capture your families, your milestones, and your most important moments means more than I can put into words. I have the kindest, most patient, and understanding clients, and I never take that for granted. 🤍
What you may not always see is everything happening behind the scenes. I’m not just your photographer. I’m also a homeschooling mom to two of my three children, a sports mom, a coach, a wife, and I work a second job while balancing all the normal pieces of life outside of my camera.
Photography is my passion and my business, but it is also so much more than the time we spend together during your session. After your session comes selecting the best images, editing, colour adjustments, retouching, exporting, backing up, and carefully creating a gallery that tells your story.
You may have noticed I’ve stepped away from sharing sneak peeks for most sessions. This has been a very intentional decision. With the number of amazing clients I have the honour of working with, my editing time is better spent putting that care into your final gallery. I also have more clients choosing to keep their images private, especially when it comes to their children and families, and I want to respect those wishes completely. 🤍
I know I am often my own biggest critic. I’m always wanting to deliver faster, create more, and make everything absolutely perfect. Thankfully, I have the most patient and supportive clients who remind me that the care I put into each gallery matters.
Every gallery receives so much thought and attention because these aren’t just photos. They are your memories. Your babies growing up. Your family exactly as it is in this season of life.
So if you are waiting for your gallery, please know it is coming. It is being created with intention, and the magic is happening behind the scenes. ✨
Thank you for trusting me, supporting my small business, and allowing me to capture these moments for you. I truly have the best clients, and I’m so grateful I get to do what I love. 🤎
