Eight years ago... I remember standing on this dock, taking this image, and feeling... awe, amazement, joy at this crazy thing I've gotten to do for the last 13+ years. Stepping into the biggest day in a couple's life together. It's taken me to so many amazing locations, introduced me to so many beautiful people and I remember the gratefulness I felt on this day... eight years ago.

Last night Hilary & Mike got married in the haymow of a cool old barn in Prince Edward County surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The bride drove herself to the wedding, smiling ear to ear, and it made me think… this was how weddings USED to be. Family coming together to decorate and bake and love the couple in all the practical ways. Just joy without all the stress that comes with so many “big” days. It really was truly perfect and it was an honour to get to capture it.
