Erica Groves Photo & Film I have been a professional videographer since 2008. I swear I was born with a video camera in my hand. Well, turns out it takes pretty nice photo's as well.

However, in the spring of 2011 I bought my first Canon SLR camera because it shoots incredible HD video. Who knew. I already had some expertise in lighting, composition and all around tech-y know how so I managed to take some ok-ish pictures of my friends and family when I wasn't shooting video. Mainly photo's of my Yorkie Izzy. This started out as a hobby (cliche, I know) but as the years have go

ne by it has become somewhat of an obsession. I have been quietly practicing and learning things along the way and I feel as though it is time that I finally stop telling people "I'm not a Photographer". Maybe I am. Think of me as the J-Lo of the media world. A girl can cross over can't she? I still, and always will love videography but I think there is room in this heart for both. Taking pictures that people cherish is what fills me with joy. I have said this about video for a long time too, but how lucky can a person be to have a career that brings such happiness to other people?
