Hey guys! Long time no talk šŸ¤Ž

My debut novel is officially releasing this September, and I am beyond excited. What started as a passion for writing has somehow snowballed into something so much bigger and more wonderful than I ever expected.

Iā€™ve now had two local locations reach out wanting to host author signings for me šŸ„¹ Likeā€¦ WHAT?! Seeing this little dream of mine become something real has been completely surreal.

Iā€™m truly so grateful for all of the support, and especially for the patience from my photo families while Iā€™ve been a little quieter over here. Photography has been such a huge part of my life for so many years, and I appreciate you all for cheering me on while I chase this new creative adventure too. šŸ¤Ž

September is going to be a pretty exciting month around here.

Iā€™ve been a little MIA around here lately, but I promise itā€™s for a good reason!

Iā€™ve been pouring most of my spare time (four kids on summer break to add ha!) into preparing to release my debut novel, The Fall Guy, on September 22nd!

Between final edits, formatting, proof copies and getting everything ready for launch day, itā€™s safe to say Iā€™m going to be a little book-consumed for the next while šŸ¤ŽšŸ

Now all thatā€™s missing is the setting.

Iā€™m searching for a location with all the romance novel vibes:
ā€¢ a lonely dead tree
ā€¢ a sprawling field with beautiful depth
ā€¢ rolling hills
ā€¢ the kind of place that makes you want to fall in love or write poetry.

āœØ Soft Launch Model Call āœØ

Okay, Iā€™ve been sitting on this idea forever and Iā€™m finally ready to make it happen.

I want to create a photoshoot that feels like pure yearning. Windswept fields, stolen glances, aching romanceā€¦ the kind of photos that look like they belong in classic love stories.

Iā€™m opening my inbox if youā€™d like to be considered!

Iā€™m looking for couples, or single men and women.

The only real requirements are:
You have to trust me with styling. Iā€™ll put the outfits together (the only thing the male model will need to provide is a pair of pants).
Ideally no visible tattoos to help keep the timeless feel, but thatā€™s not necessarily a dealbreaker.
Youā€™ll need a fairly open evening schedule. Iā€™m waiting for one of those moody, overcast, hopefully a rainy summer evening. Thereā€™s no set date, Iā€™m happy to wait for the right weather.
And 20+ age my sessions can get a little steamy LOL

I have finished my second novel!

Now I move into heavy edits for both Song of Sparrows and A Long Way Home.

Hereā€™s why Iā€™ve been a little quiet on here latelyā€¦

Iā€™ve been fully immersed in writing my novels, yes, plural šŸ˜‚

Photography will always be something I love deeply, and Iā€™m so grateful for every single inquiry and client who trusts me to capture their moments. But right now, my creativity has been pulling me in a different direction, and Iā€™ve chosen to follow it.

This isnā€™t goodbye, not even close. Iā€™ll still be popping in here and there, and when the creative spark hits, I may open up a model call or a few fantasy sessions.

My spring and summer availability is essentially full with the limited spots I left open, and I truly appreciate the continued support. If youā€™re looking for a photographer in the meantime, Iā€™m happy to recommend some amazing ones.

For now, Iā€™m giving myself the space to create, write, and build something thatā€™s been living in my heart for a long time.
