I got a sweet phone call from Arunima: she wanted to plan a surprise birthday photoshoot for Mohit. The plan? Sunrise, soft golden light, an empty, quiet spot with the entire landscape as their backdrop.

She picked flowers and balloons from our add-ons, and when they arrived, Mohit’s reaction was priceless—pure shock. At first, he froze, then slowly the surprise melted into emotion. I tested Fotello on a recent shoot in Chile, hoping AI could speed up editing. Honestly? It fell short. Clever marketing, but not ready for serious work—and some photographers supporting it seem more interested in commissions than quality.

I used Adobe instead, a professional tool, to show the real difference. When we edit for clients, I don’t personally touch every image—but I make sure the craft shines. AI can help, but it can’t replace skill, judgment, and experience. Human craft still leads.

Great conversation today with a colleague about AI—craft matters more than ever.
