From high school sweethearts to finding their way back to each other years later. 🤍

Some love stories have a way of finding their way home, and theirs is such a beautiful reminder of that.

Spending time with these two was an absolute joy. I don’t think I stopped laughing the entire time! The way they joked with each other, laughed together, and simply enjoyed being in each other’s presence made it so easy to see just how much love they share. There was something so genuine and effortless about them.

They chose to keep their wedding small and intimate, with her daughter and her daughter’s partner standing by their side. Just the people who mattered most, a beautiful little church, and a whole lot of love.

A love that found its way back, a day that was entirely theirs, and two people who still make each other laugh like nobody else can. What a privilege it was to capture this chapter of their story. 🤍

After years of being together and welcoming three beautiful children into their lives, these two decided to tie the knot surrounded by the people they love most.

They celebrated at their family property, right by the water, surrounded by their children and their closest family members. It was such a beautiful and intimate celebration, and such a special way to begin this next chapter together.

And the bride’s dress deserves a special mention. I honestly thought it was a beautiful vintage gown when I first saw it, only to find out that she made it herself! How incredibly talented to create your own wedding dress. Paired with her mother’s headpiece and veil, it made the whole look even more special.

I’m so happy I got to be there to capture such a beautiful day and all the little moments that made it theirs. 🤍

I’ve had a few people asking about fall photos this year, so I wanted to officially share my plans:

I won’t be offering specific fall mini dates like I did last year. It’s just too hard to predict exactly when the leaves will be at their best while also trying to plan around the weather and find a good location.

Instead, I’ll be offering 20-minute fall sessions in the Baddeck area for $125 throughout October.

Once we get into October and can actually see how the colours are looking, then we can find a time and location that works for you!

So if you’ve been dreaming of those beautiful fall photos, keep an eye out. 🍁🤎

SIMPLY YOU SESSIONS | Personality Minis

Timeless portraits. Genuine personality. And a little bit of fun. 🤍

Some of my favourite photographs are the simplest ones.

No elaborate setups. No distractions. Just your child, exactly as they are right now.

These sessions are photographed on a clean white backdrop, creating timeless portraits that let their personality do all the talking. Big smiles, little smirks, giggles, serious faces, funny faces, curious looks and all the little expressions that make them them.

And they absolutely do not have to sit perfectly still and smile the whole time. I want them to have fun! We’ll make silly faces, laugh, play a little and capture those genuine moments that you’ll look back on years from now and instantly remember who they were at this age.

Parents are welcome to jump into a few photos too, but the main focus is still on your kids and their personalities.

INVESTMENT

• 1 child – $125
• Additional children – $25 each
(Extra time is added so each child gets individual portraits as well as sibling photos.)

For the most timeless look, I recommend simple, solid-coloured clothing in neutral tones such as white, cream, beige, grey, black, brown or denim.

These sessions are for children of all ages, and adults are welcome too.

Because personalities grow. Little faces change. And sometimes the funniest little expressions end up being the ones you love the most. 🤍

Three weeks old and already this cute. 🤍

Sweet little Azaria was such a dream to photograph. She was calm, cozy and completely content throughout her entire session. Not a single cry, just lots of sleepy little moments and the sweetest tiny details to capture.

My newborn sessions are always in the comfort of your own home. I bring everything with me, including the lighting, props and a few little outfits you can choose from. You can also use your own special outfits and things you’ve picked out, just like Azaria did.

And while newborn sessions are usually recommended within the first couple of weeks, Azaria is proof that you absolutely don’t have to rush. She was already over 3 weeks old and did beautifully. There’s still so much sweetness to capture. 🤍

All you need is a little space and an outlet. I’ll take care of the rest.

I went to photograph Highland cows because I’m completely obsessed with them… and apparently today’s photoshoot came with a little adult content. 😂🐮

I was just trying to take cute photos and this cow really said, “Get the camera ready.” 😂 The faces in these photos absolutely sent me.

A pink ball gown. A day surrounded by their favourite people. And a wedding that was completely, unapologetically THEM!

Pink is her favourite colour, so of course she wasn’t going to settle for a white gown. And honestly, why should she? She looked absolutely incredible. ✨

They created a day in North River that felt exactly like them, surrounded by the people they love most. We were hunted by the black flies, but it was still such a beautiful day.
