SIMPLY YOU SESSIONS | Personality Minis

Timeless portraits. Genuine personality. And a little bit of fun. 🤍

Some of my favourite photographs are the simplest ones.

No elaborate setups. No distractions. Just your child, exactly as they are right now.

These sessions are photographed on a clean white backdrop, creating timeless portraits that let their personality do all the talking. Big smiles, little smirks, giggles, serious faces, funny faces, curious looks and all the little expressions that make them them.

And they absolutely do not have to sit perfectly still and smile the whole time. I want them to have fun! We’ll make silly faces, laugh, play a little and capture those genuine moments that you’ll look back on years from now and instantly remember who they were at this age.

Parents are welcome to jump into a few photos too, but the main focus is still on your kids and their personalities.

📅 October 24th
🕘 9AM - 3PM
📍 South Haven Community Hall

• 20-minute session
• 10+ professionally edited digital images
• Private online gallery
• 1 child included

INVESTMENT

• 1 child – $125
• Additional children – $25 each
(Extra time is added so each child gets individual portraits as well as sibling photos.)

For the most timeless look, I recommend simple, solid-coloured clothing in neutral tones such as white, cream, beige, grey, black, brown or denim.

These sessions are for children of all ages, and adults are welcome too.

Because personalities grow. Little faces change. And sometimes the funniest little expressions end up being the ones you love the most. 🤍

Some families just have a way of making you feel like you belong. 🤍 This is one of those families. Down to earth, genuine, warm, and the kind of people you can simply be yourself around.

Between Tarbot, Antigonish and England, with one brother and his family still out west, having everyone together isn’t something that happens often. But spending even a little time with them makes one thing very clear: distance has nothing on the love this family has for each other. We’re so lucky to call these wonderful humans friends, and getting to capture some of their time together was pretty special 🤍

P.S. The bugs were OUT in full force 😂 We were basically being eaten alive, but still managed to get some beautiful photos 🤍

I got to photograph the sweetest surprise proposal at White Point. 🤍💍

These two came all the way from the Toronto area for a little trip around Cape Breton, and he had secretly planned the most thoughtful surprise for her.

He brought a change of clothes so she could put on a beautiful dress afterwards, had ch*****ne ready to celebrate, and put so much thought into every little detail. She had absolutely no idea what was coming.

We were so lucky the rain stayed away, and after the proposal we got to spend some time taking these engagement photos around White Point.

I’m so happy I got to be part of their Cape Breton adventure and capture this special time for them. Congratulations again to you both! 🤍

🍂 A little fall photo announcement! 🍂

I’ve had a few people asking about fall photos this year, so I wanted to officially share my plans:

I won’t be offering specific fall mini dates like I did last year. It’s just too hard to predict exactly when the leaves will be at their best while also trying to plan around the weather and find a good location.

Instead, I’ll be offering 20-minute fall sessions in the Baddeck area for $125 throughout October.

Once we get into October and can actually see how the colours are looking, then we can find a time and location that works for you!

She said YES! 🤍

Last night’s surprise proposal was a success, and I’m so excited to share a little glimpse from this beautiful moment.

We were definitely keeping an eye on that rain in the forecast, but somehow the weather worked in our favour. It stayed dry for the proposal, and we even caught a few little glimpses of sunshine along the way.

I’m already looking forward to editing the rest of their gallery and sharing more from this special evening. ✨
