Enjoying a Saturday evening and a Barred Owl flies into our garden! I am a strong advocate for ensuring that wildlife are not disturbed just for a photo so I kept my distance and shot a couple of images with a long lens before leaving it be.
We hear the owl all the time but this is the rare time that it hung out in sight.

They are heading back our way! It’s time to hang hummingbird feeders! Posting an image I captured previously.
Please make your own nectar - plain white table sugar (no artificial sweetener, brown sugar or honey). 1 part sugar to 4 parts water (dissolve the sugar completely and store extra nectar in the fridge). No red food dye!
