Another fabulous wedding in the books for the Carla and Kirsten duo! I can’t even express how grateful I am to have Carla in my life as a friend and as a photographer, I feel like every time we are together we are learning something new from each other. The amount of techniques you can learn from another Photographer by just working with them is phenomenal. You really don’t know what you have as valuable skill until you meet another photographer that has no idea what you’re doing but wants to learn! Fall is one of my favourite times of year for engagement sessions. The warm colours, golden light and cozy atmosphere create such a beautiful backdrop for couples.

This fall family session was all about celebrating the three of them: a husband, a wife and their very loved pup.

Because your dog isn’t “just a dog.” They’re part of your everyday life, your adventures, your routines and your family.

I love when couples include their pets in their sessions because those genuine moments of cuddles, playfulness and connection make the best photographs.

Why Every One-Year-Old Deserves a Cake Smash

Your baby is turning ONE. And while the cake might only last a few minutes, the memories from that moment will last forever.

A cake smash session is more than just putting a cake in front of your little one. It’s a chance to capture this incredibly short stage of their life, when they’re learning, exploring, making a complete mess, and discovering new things with those tiny hands.

For your one-year-old’s session, we create a custom themed setup in the studio, complete with a cake made for smashing.

Then we let them do what they do best…

MAKE. A. MESS.

Little fingers digging into the icing. The first taste. The confused faces. The giggles. The frosting-covered cheeks. And, of course, the moment they decide the cake is more fun to play with than eat.

Why book me?

Because your family photos shouldn’t feel like a chore.

I’m not here to simply line everyone up, tell you where to stand and say “smile.” I want to capture the real stuff: the laughter, the cuddles, the chaos, the personalities and the little moments that make your family yours.

I’m a mom, so I know kids don’t always cooperate. And that’s okay! We’ll have fun, go with the flow and make beautiful images along the way.

As a professionally accredited photographer, I’ll guide you through the session so you don’t have to worry about what to do in front of the camera.

Most importantly, I want you to have photographs that actually make it onto your walls, not just sit on your phone.

Because one day, these photos will be worth so much more than they are today.

GRADS… it’s officially YOUR year. 🤍

A few things I think you should absolutely do before that cap gets tossed:

✦ Go to the school games — even if sports aren’t really your thing
✦ Take way too many pictures with your friends
✦ Dress up for every school spirit day
✦ Go to your school dances
✦ Take the random late-night food runs
✦ Get involved in the school events
✦ Make plans with the friends you swear you’ll see all the time after graduation
✦ Take your senior portraits somewhere that feels SO you
✦ Say yes to things you normally wouldn’t
✦ And every once in a while… actually put your phone down and take it all in.

Because everyone tells you Grade 12 goes fast.

They’re right.

One minute you’re walking into school for your first day of Grade 12, and before you know it, you’re walking across that stage.

Class of 2027 — make it a GOOD one. 🫶🏼
