I was looking back through some of my old behind-the-scenes videos and realized I never shared this little gem. šŸ„¹

Because this is what a wedding day looks like through my camera.

One moment, sheā€™s walking down the aisle ā€” and within those few seconds, there are so many little stories happening all around her.

The nerves. The deep breaths.
Dad beside her.
The way her groom looks at her.
Mom wiping away a tear.
The reactions from the people who love them most.
The tiny glances and emotions that could so easily be missed.

The video shows the moment happeningā€¦ but the final gallery lets you go back and see everything that was happening within it. šŸ¤

And I think that might be one of my favourite parts of photographing weddings ā€” freezing all of those little pieces of a moment you were too busy living to notice. šŸ„¹šŸ“ø

And by ā€œlittle glimpseā€ā€¦ I mean 40+ photos because apparently I have absolutely no ability to narrow down a wedding day this good. šŸ˜‚
There were just too many moments ā€” the emotional ones, the beautiful ones, the hilarious ones, the slightly chaotic ones, and all those little in-between pieces that make a wedding day theirs.
So consider this less of a sneak peek and more of a ā€œI couldnā€™t choose, so hereā€™s basically a small novelā€ situation. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤

Iā€™m still obsessed with this lake engagement session. šŸ˜

The glassy water. The softest sunset. The paddleboard. The chemistry. And the fact that these two were completely willing to get soaked for the shot. šŸ˜‚šŸ”„

This is your reminder that engagement photos absolutely do not have to mean standing in a field smiling at the camera.

Bring me the ideas that feel like you. Bring the paddleboard. Jump in the lake. Get a little weird. Get a little steamy. Make a date out of it.

Because THIS is the kind of session I could photograph over and over again. šŸ–¤šŸŒŠ

There are moments at every wedding that quietly steal my heart.

Itā€™s not always the first kiss.
Itā€™s not always the vows.

Sometimes itā€™s the look on a momā€™s face as she watches the little girl who once insisted on wearing princess dresses every day walk toward the next chapter of her life.

Or the dad who suddenly sees flashes of scraped knees, bedtime stories, hockey practices, dance recitals, graduations, first heartbreaks, and all the ordinary Tuesdays that somehow disappeared too quickly.

One minute youā€™re teaching them how to tie their shoes.

The next, youā€™re watching them promise forever to someone who loves them as much as you always hoped someone would.

As a photographer, I love the big moments. But Iā€™ll always keep one eye on the parents, because their story is changing too.

These weddings arenā€™t just about two people becoming husband and wife.

Theyā€™re also about the parents who spent years raising kind, resilient humansā€¦ and who get the incredible privilege of watching them build a family of their own.

Itā€™s beautiful.
Itā€™s bittersweet.
And itā€™s one of my favourite stories to capture.

The best wedding parties aren't the ones with perfectly coordinated poses.

They're the ones who cheer the loudest. (and flail the veil with some real flair)
Fix a veil without being asked. (even the guys helped out as much as they could)
Keep everyone laughing when nerves kick in. ( aka Nitro)

Celebrate every little moment like it's their own.

This group was all of that and more, and it made the entire day so much fun to capture. šŸ¤

That's what Evening at the Farm is all about. šŸŒæāœØ

Watching families explore the blooms, little ones discovering flowers taller than they are, couples slowing down for a few quiet moments, and friends laughing together.

It's about preserving a feeling, because summer lasts not nearly long enough.

A year ago, these four little humans carried the biggest secret in the world.

While Mom and Dad were soaking in a quiet moment together, the kids were busy opening an envelope that would change everything. The excitement, the whispers, the anticipationā€¦ and then getting to be the ones to surprise their parents with the news that baby Jack was on his way.

Now, somehow, Jack is almost six months old, and I realized I never shared this sweet little reveal on my feed.

Looking back at these photos reminds me that sometimes the most beautiful moments arenā€™t the perfectly posed onesā€”theyā€™re the ones where a family grows together. šŸ¤

ā€œCan You Feel the Love Tonightā€ drifted through the backyard on a violin as Courtney walked toward Leland.

Surrounded by the home theyā€™d built together and the people who helped shape their story, every moment felt intentional. There were flower petals tossed with adorable determination, knowing smiles exchanged across the aisle, laughter filling the yard, and vows witnessed by the people who matter most.

It wasnā€™t about a grand venue or extravagant details.

It was about home.

About choosing forever in the place that already held so many memories, and beginning the next chapter exactly where their hearts already belonged.

Courtney & Leland, thank you for letting me capture a day that was as genuine as it was beautiful. Wishing you a lifetime of belly laughter, backyard gatherings, and always being able to feel the love. šŸ¤
