A quiet night at Buffalo Creek Nature Pond, watching the stars slowly move across the sky.

This was made from 199 photos, taken from 10:17 PM to 1:55 AM, then stacked together to create the trails. The bridge and floating dock are part of the pond, with the night sky doing the rest.

Definitely worth staying up for.

Wicus Needs Your Help!

Artist Cameron Cross hid a tiny ladybug somewhere on Altona’s new Sunflowers painting!

Some residents spotted it right away… while others are still looking for binoculars.

Wicus from D&W Productions has the binoculars — but he’s STILL struggling to find it. So now he’s asking YOU for a hint!

Here’s how to help Wicus:
Take a photo of the Sunflowers painting, point to where you think the ladybug is hiding, and tag Town of Altona and D&W Productions in your photo or story.

Wicus is so determined to find it that he’s promised a slushie from Altona Co-op Gas Bar to the first 30 people who tag us with their guess!

But our little ladybug is missing something else… a name!

Drop your best ladybug name in the comments. We’ll choose our favourite, officially name Altona’s newest tiny resident, and the winner will receive a Town of Altona gift!
