It took nearly 30 minutes of scanning the sky to finally see this comet, the first I've seen since Neowise in July, 2020. A split-tail is evident, as is the residual smoke from stubborn fires 75 miles away. I can't even begin to spell this comet's name, so until I can, I'll call it Comet October 2024 😊
