Having my still lifes up at the Airdrie Public Library all summer has been amazing. Thank you so much for the opportunity, a huge thanks to Ashley Slemming, and to my family and friends for always being there for me. I’d love to work together again in the future! Loving these local gatherings and the amazing people we keep meeting around town. How sweet is it to have a professional lens capture these real memories? Couldn't be happier to call this place home. ❤️

"Empty nest" 2026
Ironical neo-baroque still life. An exploration of consumer culture, ecology, and the preservation of memory.
A house finch built a nest in the spring inside my Christmas wreath on the front door, which somehow stayed up until early June. The whole month of June was cold, and I honestly think it was my fault. Out of four, three hatched. They were blue eggs. I thought they were all boys. The books were free finds, the vase is from a thrift store, the planter was about to be thrown out, the broken bird is a garden ornament, the Lego is ,as usual -me, and the flowers, cornflowers and gooseberries, were given away for free on a marketplace, while the main bouquet and lilies were bought at the local market. I admire the labor behind it all.
What goes on in my head when there are two teenagers at home and one will soon be leaving?
The ups and downs of fear, memories of my own childhood, how hard it is to be a mom, and how much I'm still learning right along with my kids. How not to lose yourself while trying to be understanding. Too much. Trying to live in time. Staying connected.

Is there anything better than pure summer moments set against these views?

Even though I’m knee-deep in prep mode for my upcoming art exhibition opening in just a few days, my camera is ready and my schedule is open for family and portrait sessions!

Between art prep, family life, taxes, and standard monthly bills (and trust me, with two boys at home, the list never ends!), staying busy with shoots is what keeps it all running smoothly.

If you want to catch the warmth of this season before it slips away, give me a call or drop me a message- I'd love to set up a photoshoot with you!

Almost the end of July already, and I've been so busy capturing moments that I haven't been sharing enough of what's been going on behind the scenes!
I truly love meeting new people, and this summer has been so full of amazing souls. It always amazes and touches my heart to witness couples who have been together for 40+ years look at each other with such deep, enduring love. It's a reminder of why I do what I do. DocumentaryPhotography

The exhibition has a fresh look. I’ve updated the frame, and my still-life series is now fully on display. 🖼️
I invite you to swing by, read the stories behind each piece, and see if they resonate with your own memories. I would truly love to hear your thoughts: it means so much to me to hear how these images connect with your experiences.
The exhibition runs through the end of August. It’s a beautiful spot with a park and a coffee shop nearby, and parking is free.
A huge thank you to Airdrie Public Library for hosting and Ash Slemming for her vision, to Calgary Print Shop for the incredible prints, and IKEA Canada for the frames that brought this all together!
