My name is Jermie Walker. I am 32 years old and the father of 2 wonderful boys, ages 6 & 8. I am seeking assistance to undergo much-needed surgery for Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I have been suffering from severe chest and shoulder pain for years and was finally diagnosed four months ago. The surgery will remove an extra cervical rib that is compressing the nerves and arteries in my left thoracic region. This compression causes pain in the heart and chest, numbness in the left arm, high blood pressure etc. The surgery is time sensitive; the continued compression in this region is causing the heart to work in overdrive, leading to other medical issues.
