Next stop was Savuti. On the way we passed a group of lions with cubs and once in the park found a cheetah with two young. A separate game drive revealed a hyena, also with 2 young 😍

They look cute but I wouldn't want to get too close to them 😅

Lack of WiFi means I'm a little behind but after Victoria Falls, it was back to Botswana and a sunset cruise on the Chobe river.

Plenty of animals and birds to spot with elephants, baboons, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos amongst the inhabitants

To round off the day, a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls - what an amazing experience 😮👌⛲️🚁

A wonderful couple of hours looking through the eyes of an elephant 👀🐘

All the residents are rescues who are now recovered and enjoying their new life. They can leave if they choose and fully wild elephants will sometimes join.

It was a privilege to get up close and feed these magnificent beasts - culminating in a high 5, elephant style (final picture)

Sunset set at Nata - with some wildlife on the way.

The site, a bird sanctuary, is usually home to greater and lesser flamingos 🦩 but the high water levels have driven them elsewhere

An amazing start to my Botswana adventure with a couple of days wild camping in the Okavango Delta.

The camp was only accessible by mokoro (the traditional boat) and from there we embarked on a few walking safaris as well as a sunset mokoro ride.

Final morning in Santiago before the long journey home.

I took a walk down to the Sky Costenera - at 300m the tallest building in South America and the 5th tallest in the world. A fast lift takes you up 62 floors for some tremendous views.
