Catarata dos Couros (catarata means waterfalls), located in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, is one of the most beautiful attractions in Chapada dos Veadeiros, a region in Brasil famous for its waterfalls and natural beauty. Definitely one of the most beautiful regions in Brazil.
Brazil is very rich in waterfalls! The amount of waterfalls that exist in this country I have never seen so abundant anywhere else in the world.
To get to Catarata dos Couros you take a road leaving from Alto Paraíso and then a dirt road most of the part. The path is not so clear and easy, but it is not so difficult either.
I went by a simple rental car, normal traction, and I was fine, however, to get there, I got a lot of information from the locals in Alto Paraiso de Goias: go there, turn at the fork, turn after again... anyway... you have to pay good attention on how to get there. Another observation: at the very end, there is a steep descent and you will find a "bar" that serves food, drinks, etc. I didn't go down this descent by car, because if it rained, it would be difficult to go up in a normal car. So I left it upstairs, 1 block from the entry point.
Google maps currently even traces the path for you, but without much precision, but if you put it in satellite mode I believe it will be easier to understand. You may be able to find the GPS path through the Wikiloc apps.
Another option would be to hire a local guide. I went without a guide. A guide can also be useful for you to better explore the place itself, as it has several points of waterfalls and some are more hidden. In Alto Paraíso it is easy to find a guide in the local association. But it's an open region, easy to walk, wide, with lots and lots of falls and waterfalls, good for swimming in many places, you can explore it with no worry, just don't be in a hurry...

The Monastery of Petra, Inside and Outside - Jordan

The Monastery of Petra, in my opinion, is more interesting than the Treasure, the first most known and visited monument in Petra.
To reach the Monastery you have to climb quite a lot using Petra´s stone paths and go until the top of this old city from the Nabateus.
At the other side of this hill is located the famous Wadi Rum Desert.
At this summit, you have finally this impressive monument.
Quite nobody shows you how it is inside. I show you that in this video. Not so amazing as we could imagine from outside but still interesting.
Whats mattered from the Nabateus is the facade. A through ouvre d´art. So ingenious and so artistic.
This is monument is one of the best scenes I ve seen in my life.
Hope you enjoy and catch some glimpsy of its grandeur.

Tiwanaku – Archaeological Sites – East Coast of Titicaca Lake – La Paz – Bolivia

Tiwanacu or Tiahuanaco was an ancient culture which began as early as
1500 BC, whose remains are located on an important pre-Columbian
archaeological site in Bolivia, about 72 km from the capital, La Paz.
This place is considered by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.

Among them there were no written language, all of its legacy is based on
ruins and found objects, such as, pieces of ceramics and sculptures,
monuments, foundations of buildings etc.

We can say they were an innovative people, worshiper of the Sun God.

Their life were based on cycles of plantations and crops.They invented a
spectacular way of preserving harvests from being destroyed by
unpredictable and frozen weather of the Andes mountains, by creating the
“Sukakullos”, artificial little niches or mounds, today called
“flooded-raised fields”. These techniques were the foundation of the
expansion of their empire, which reached until areas of actual north
Argentina, north Chile and south Peru.

Its main cultural legacy is to be precursor of great monumental
buildings in South America. They used large stones weighing up to one
hundred tons, tailored, notched and coated to be fit each other
accurately.

Today all that remains to study this ancient civilization is this
archaeological site, severely damaged, as has been subject of looting
diggers in search of valuables since the time of spanish colonization.

Museum Tiwanaku has preserved skulls of ancient tiwanacus. At this
civilization, children who had superior skill and intelligence were
chosen to be priests and wise men and they had, through certain
techniques and special preparations, theirs skull deformed and
increased.

Some features of this site are:

– The Pyramid Akapana with seven levels, more than 20 feet tall and
about 800 meters long;

– Temple of Kalasasaya and the Gateway of the Sun, the most famous
temple of Tiwanacu;

– Monoliths Fraile, Ponce and the Bearded one;

– Underground Temple, adorned with hundreds of carved stone heads;

– Ruins of the Palace of the Sarcophagus;

– Puma Punku

Inle´s Lake cool fishermen.

Myanmar has such a cool people, friendly, nice, peaceful! They were good hostess and i have felt very good in this piece of Asia. They don´t deserve political problems or unstabilities. They like the joy. Hope those waste of time and political turmoils turns out well soon.
