In this World Photography Day, and since I have not posted "real pictures" in a while, I would like to give a thought to the people of Flores, Indonesia, who just suffered a massive earthquake.
This lady gave us shelter in Bena, during a very rainy day. So I spent some time playing with her daughter and just chilling there, while the mother chewed bethel and my guide talked to her and I could not understand anything. But it did not matter! It is a very cherished memory and I just hope that they are fine in this moment.

Someone wanted to print a picture I took and hang it on the wall. That makes me happy! Because it means it is valued until the point of making it physical and it will accompany you in your daily life: you will see it everyday! It is an honor for me.
Why this picture exactly, who knows, but what I can tell you is that that hike to Mt. Batur in Bali, in the night, in order to see the sunrise behind Mt. Agung (which had been erupting days before and erupted days after in front of my eyes), was special.
So thank you for your "order", and enjoy it in your new home! I know you are more a sunrise person than me, so I wish you to see many of those, and always for the right reasons🌻

For me, 2025 can be categorized as "good year" and fot that I am deeply grateful. It wasn't perfect, but I am aware that I am still part of the priviledged side of the world. I close it with two moments: India and Thailand. The first pic is special because I dressed special for a special moment that started a crazy/unforgettable roadtrip. And the second one, with my dear and Say Meh after filming in the refugee camp, which was another eye opener for me: we say something like "Good for you, good for me, good for everyone!" in the Karenni language, which I learnt in one of their nurseries, and this is how I want 2026 to be like. Keep on paddling, my friends! ✨🌻
