Someone wanted to print a picture I took and hang it on the wall. That makes me happy! Because it means it is valued until the point of making it physical and it will accompany you in your daily life: you will see it everyday! It is an honor for me.
Why this picture exactly, who knows, but what I can tell you is that that hike to Mt. Batur in Bali, in the night, in order to see the sunrise behind Mt. Agung (which had been erupting days before and erupted days after in front of my eyes), was special.
So thank you for your "order", and enjoy it in your new home! I know you are more a sunrise person than me, so I wish you to see many of those, and always for the right reasons🌻

For me, 2025 can be categorized as "good year" and fot that I am deeply grateful. It wasn't perfect, but I am aware that I am still part of the priviledged side of the world. I close it with two moments: India and Thailand. The first pic is special because I dressed special for a special moment that started a crazy/unforgettable roadtrip. And the second one, with my dear and Say Meh after filming in the refugee camp, which was another eye opener for me: we say something like "Good for you, good for me, good for everyone!" in the Karenni language, which I learnt in one of their nurseries, and this is how I want 2026 to be like. Keep on paddling, my friends! ✨🌻

Tarata 🇧🇴 Charangueitor, in front of one of the typical wooden doors of Tarata. He is the musician that made the wonderful soundtrack for 2 of my videos for Fundación Bolivia Digna.
Sometimes there are doors that close and others that open. Sometimes we slam doors unnecessarily. But we still have some keys in the back pocket, to open half way, and lean out and check out if our voice echoes.
And this is what this portrait of him says to me today.

I just got to know that today is the National Day of Patagonia in Argentina, and my mind went directly to my favorite mountain: Fitz Roy. I cried when I made it up there because for me it was hard to arrive and the beauty was... Too much... ❤️ Unforgettable.

Mallorca 🇪🇸 The "correfocs" always impressed me. A mix between fun, darkness, light, tradition, music and adrenaline. The devils dance under an umbrella of light. And they want to bring you inside with them. Beware!

Now that the local elections are coming, I remembered that I once met and pictured the actual major of Düsseldorf, .stephankeller while me being on duty for the Irish Food Board. He passed by and greeted Ireland's Ambassador Maeve Collins, former Minister of Agriculture .hackett and members. This is not meant to be in any way a political positioning from my side (or theirs), but a part of my job to capture these moments with people who have very important power of decision.

Nusa Lembongan, Bali 🇮🇩 I will never forget the smell and sound of the balinese temples. I was able to participate in the Kuningan, which is an important hindu celebration that takes place twice a year. It was great because it was a village and super authentic. The ancestors return to heaven after having been in Earth during Galungan celebration. The good beats the evil. I joined all the blessings in the temple and the locals teached us how to receive them (starting with the fact that they lent me a sarong, to me, a stranger!).

Tania is not only very colorful at first sight, also with her smile, but also has been speaking about multiculturalism since I know her. Building bridges between Africa and Europe (she was born in Kenya) and rising a multicultural home as you can see. I enjoyed having to picture someone so colorful in all senses!
