Throwback to some 15 years ago when the Belgian Airforce organized a big airshow to celebrate its 65th birthday.

The airshow was held at Koksijde airbase and one of the many awesome participants was this rare Gloster Meteor NF11.

It has been a while since I posted a proper picture that I took at my local base.
So here is one of a "family model" F-16 pulling up after a touch-and-go on a beautiful winter day a few years ago.

How about a pair of gorgeous, colourful Japanese Recce Phantoms for today's -theme?

Every now and then I try to search for some new ways to edit my pictures and the last couple of weeks I did just that.
I've watched several tutorials on YouTube how other aviation photographers edit their pictures and last week I tried my best to implement some of the things I saw on those tutorials to a couple of my pictures.

Here are a couple of edited shots that I took from Dutch Rush during its display in a clear blue sky during the Athens Flying Week airshow.
With the editing technique I used, I tried to make the plane and smoke pop out more from the photo.

A golden Apache photographed just after a heavy downpour during the 2022 Sanicole Sunset Airshow.

A big crop from a picture that I took a number of years ago when 2 Kleine Brogel based F-16's were doing some BFM-work above their homebase.

An aircraft type that once was a regular participant at European airshows but is nowadays a very rare sight, the beautiful Hawker Hunter.
It's one of those planes that I really miss seeing on the airshow scene, it really was a treat both for the eyes and the ears.

Face to face with the mighty scooter.
I don't think it's really necessary to tell you where I took this photo ;-)

This weekend the Sanicole International Airshow will take place.

Here's a throwback to 10 years ago when we had this awesome aircraft that officially kicked off the sunset airshow.
This was the last time and still remains one of the rare occassions that I've seen a B-1B in flight!
