A long‑awaited moment in Dovrefjell, Norway.

The morning opened with sweeping views and moody skies, and before long the first musk oxen emerged on the horizon.

Moments later, one stood astonishingly close: powerful, ancient, calm.

Grateful for the unexpected encounter with a kind guide who offered thoughtful guidance on how to find them. And was unknowingly a model in my panorama-shot.

This series captures the essence of an unforgettable day.
