At the beginning of this year I started working on a series that I currently named ‘Do You Water The Concrete Before You Go?’. You can see it as a diary about my obsession with the construction and deconstruction of the Flemish landscape. The dutch term ‘verkavelen’ (to parcel out a land) is a leading term in this project. Also the book ‘Het lelijkste land ter wereld’ by Renaat Braem gave me inspiration for further steps. You can now see a preview hanging on my front window in Kortrijk. More info soon.
