We’ve been looking forward to this moment for so long — today, the very first baby sea turtles have hatched!
Back in 2023, Duli Beach Resort was proud to be one of only five projects worldwide to receive a WWF grant for its turtle hatching program. The project involves collecting turtle eggs, keeping them at the right temperature, and protecting them until they hatch.
Thanks to the team’s dedication and ongoing conservation efforts, between 2017 and 2023, more than 860 nests were safeguarded, and over 62,000 baby turtles were successfully released into the ocean. 🐣➡️🌊
The Green Turtle can grow up to 1.2 meters in length and weigh as much as 181 kilograms — making it one of the largest sea turtle species in the world. 🐢💪
