📍Anping Tree House, Tainan

I went here early morning and it was a very nice stroll along the area. 💛 as a person afraid of everything tho, some spots are a bit scary hahaha but that’s because my brain us wired differently.

The breeze here is nice and the area is quiet. The ticket cost around NT70 and it includes entry to the old Merchant house. 💛 there’s a very cute foreign merchant waiting there!! I’ll post his photo next. 😍

Stepping back in time at the iconic Hayashi Department Store in Tainan! 🏛️✨

Im a sucker for old buildings! And this one definitely got my interest. I also saw a working elevator dial which I admired for like 15 mins. 😍 I know! Im a bit of a loser hahaha

Also, perched on the rooftop sits the Suehiro Shrine, a piece of the past overlooking the bustling city below. ⛩️🌅

A perfect mix of retro charm, culture, and rooftop views. Definitely add this to your Tainan bucket list! Plus, you can buy your souvenirs and pasalubong from here!

One of my favorite moment was entering a random alley that I didn’t know was quite known in the city. 🐌💛

I got lost but I didnt care as I was mesmerized with the cute little aesthetic of this neighborhood! There are a variety of 3D and wall paintings if snails! Some people make a game of counting how many snails they can see in the area.

However, I totally forgot that the alley also mentions the Taiwanese scholar Yeh Shih-tao. 😅 I forgot to look for the lines from his novel because to be honest, I didnt know where to look next. My head was overwhelmed with cute things!

Lesson learned: if you do get lost (or intentionally go) in Snail Alley, take a deep breath and find more interesting things! ❤️

This beautiful temple is right across the Tiger and Dragon Pagoda. 💛

I think I stayed here for 20-30 minutes despite being dehydrated and hot for soooo long. I made the mistake of not bringing my own water in Taiwan’s April heat. 😅 fortunately, they have free tea right at the entrance hahaha

Fun fact about me: This is the second time a temple/religious place rescued me from almost passing out. In Turkey, I had to drink the holy water after walking uphill hahahahahaha I asked permission tho! 🙈 lesson learned - always bring drinking water.

Okay, I dont really remember where this exact place is 😅 Im two months late with these photos. But it was an unassuming place that my coworker took me. If I remember it right, it was a public market that was converted into different small shops and restaurants. Its actually really cool! 🥰

We had a few snacks at this Izakaya and I tried the stinky tofu! Thank you Yuning for taking me here 🥰

Trams. Buses. Trains.

I truly enjoyed these very chill trip to Kaohsiung. It was my very first solo trip that I didnt feel pressured to take hundreds of photos and videos that I will turn into a content. In a way, that was very freeing for me. 😍

I took my time, allowed myself to get lost, and immersed with how locals live their life. 🩵

If you are a fan of anime and other cute characters (Sanrio, Chiikawa, Mikan etc), you’ll surely lose track of time from all the wandering. 😍
