It was a lovely day in the forest, with my girlfriend. It was almost the end of the rutting season but we managed to pinpoint a deer calling, after waiting for a long time, me and my girlfriend got cold so we decided to go for a walk around the area we were hearing the buck.
While we were waiting we met and after the walk around the area we heard the buck, we decided to go back and we crossed him again and he showed us a nice picture of the buck, we were glad he got the picture but of course disappointed when we heard he took the picture in the exact spot where we waited for a very long time :D. We decided to give it one more shot, but before we made it to the spot the buck showed himself and we finally got the shot! What a great day. 🦌♥️📸

This deer was getting chased by two buck and was very surprised to see two photographers waiting with their lenses on her escape path 😮🦌

Just cleaned his enclosure and set some fresh food. They are so cute you would want to a talk to them or play with them but to keep them as wild as possible we keep the contact to the bare minimum!
The little guy was attacked and had bite marks on his body, but is healing well.
He is staying in the Wildlife rescue service in Merelbeke, also called VOC Merelbeke.

When I said on the video post "It doesn't get much more special than this." Well it did and not a little bit, this female caught my smell, but she had some doubts, so she tried to confirm her doubts, but as I was wearing a full ghillie suit and sitting in a didge just inches above the grass, so she didn't see me at all and came so close at moments I could not even focus anymore so less then 4m, I could even hear her breath 😮🦌.

Roebuck, this is the same buck from in the video on my IGTV.
He is still young but ambitious and never the less a beautiful and impressive sight.

Yesterday evening I had this nice encounter with this Roe Deer, as I was fully camouflaged it didn't see me and didn't feel threatened, she kept eating relaxed, picture will follow tomorrow.
