Hoplakeej... onze (al reeds 5de !!) editie van de Mind the Moment Workshop zit er op.
Alweer mochten we een geweldige bende de wereld van de fotografie in katapulteren, voorzien van een rijk gevulde knapzak boordevol knowledge en ervaringen.

En met dat afscheid volgt er dan weer wat nieuws... En dat nieuws komt er razend snel aan. Hou dus onze socials nauwgezet in de gaten 👆🏻

II Mentor in the picture II

Next mentor of our team we would love to place in the picture today; the amazing Mr. Yves Schepers

Raise your hand if you love his work! 🙌🏻

Being a former engineer, innovation marks Yves’s work. Light and composition are the fundamentals of his imagery. Always waiting for the decisive moment and blending in a subtle sense of humour, Yves’ ambitious and quality-driven personality makes him strive to be an all-round photographer delivering a hybrid between artistic portraiture and authentic documentary images. Since every story can be told in many ways, he understands the power of using different aspects of his visual language leading up to creating a unique point of view.

His work is recognized around the globe and has won numerous international awards with the highlights being “Masters of Wedding Photography” Photographer of the year 2017 and WPJA Photographer of the year 2019. This has given him the opportunity to travel the world to capture weddings, be invited as a speaker on many international wedding photography conferences and become a founding member of Mind The Moment.

II ALUMNI & MENTORS IN THE PICTURE II 😍

We know... Belgium is quite small. But we are honestly super proud to admit today that our pretty little country completely ruled the This is Reportage - round 14 competition. (so sorry Alan Law, we don't like to brag, but we did 😜)

In fact... it was quite a job to collect ALL winning images that were won by our Mind the Moment Alumni. We feel so delighted to say we counted a total amount of 25 AWARDS (16 singles & 9 story awards). I mean WOW ... We are so proud of all our mentors and alumni right now. Congrats everyone! ♥️

About time to also place our 4 mentors in the picture. Let's kick off with Nele Watty Fotografie ♥️

Curiosity surrounds Nele and motivates her storytelling imagery. A university background in photojournalism as well as an extensive knowledge of the history of photography set Nele apart in the purity of her candid, layered images.

We have found her to be a photographer that sees and captures subtle, unusual moments. The quiet and often overlooked things she connects with and creates a story that is honest, creative, and delightful. Her playful, adventurous heart brings a brilliant energy to the events she documents.

Her passion for photography spills over into her personal life and we feel she has some of the best personal family work out there.

II ALUMNI IN THE PICTURE II Yvonne Kuipers

Wat hebben we fijne herinneringen aan Yvonne 😍. Haar eerste awards zijn behaald vlak na Mind the moment. Uiteraard en terecht is ze supertrots trots op haar Fearless awards en mijn master!

Dit is wat ze te vertellen heeft over de workshop:

"Het was een leerzame maar drukke week, veel indrukken en veel nieuwe gezichten. Voor mij was het vooral een leerproces van inzien en geloven in het volgen mijn intuïtie. Nog altijd struggle ik daar wel eens mee, maar daardoor denk ik wel vaak terug aan de mooie tijd tijdens de workshop. Ik vond het een super warme groep mensen!"

II ALUMNI IN THE PICTURE II

Babet Trommelen is één van onze vele Nederlandse vriendjes die onze workshop in de Ardennen gevolgd heeft. Net als Sophie (die we vorige week al in de kijker plaatsten) is ze nu exact 5 jaar zelfstandig fotografe. Dit jaar won ze al 3 awards en is ze genomineerd voor de BFA 🙌🏻

Dit wilde ze nog kwijt over haar 'Mind the Moment ervaring' :

"Mind the moment was zoo onwijs tof! Ik heb enorm genoten van die week in de Ardennen. Het was fantastisch weer, we hebben super leuke opdrachten gedaan en het was ontzettend leerzaam. Maar het allerallerallermeest vond ik het gewoon stiekem SUPER gezellig. Al die momentjes tussen door, buiten lunchen, 's avonds zwemmen. Met je voeten in een stromend beekje. Ik heb zeker ook vrienden gemaakt. De mentoren zijn toppers. Zitten stuk voor stuk in mijn hart maar zeker ook sommige 'medecursisten' : Hanne, Yvonne, Malou en Chantal. ♥️ ... Een onvergetelijke ervaring!"
