২০০ বছরের ঐতিহ্য কাইকারটেক হাট
শত বছর ধরে সপ্তাহের প্রতি রবিবার নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার সোনারগাঁও উপজেলার মোগরাপাড়া ইউনিয়নের কাইকারটেক এলাকায় কাইকারটেক হাট (Kaikertek Hat) অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে আসছে।
গ্রাম বাংলার ঐতিহ্য লালনকারী এই হাটটি স্থানীয় মানুষের কাছে রবিবারের হাট নামেও পরিচিত। কাইকারটেক হাটের পাশ দিয়ে বয়ে গেছে ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদ। শত বছরের প্রাচীন নির্দশন এবং নদীর তীরের প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ কাইকারটেকের হাটে আগত ক্রেতা বিক্রেতা ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন ভ্রমণকারীদের সমানভাবে আকর্ষণ করে। নরসিংদী, মুন্সিগঞ্জ এবং কুমিল্লা সহ দূরদূরান্ত হতে আগ্রহী মানুষ ভিড় করে এই কাইকারটেক হাটে।
ঐতিহ্যবাহী কাইকারটেক হাটের নৌকার কেনাবেচার ইতিহাস প্রায় আড়াইশ বছরের পুরনো। বছর জুড়ে হাট বসলেও শুধুমাত্র আষাঢ়, শ্রাবণ, ভাদ্র, আশ্বিণ এই চার মাস এখানে নৌকা কেনাবেচা চলে। তখন ভাল মানের নৌকা কিনতে আশপাশ জেলা থেকে শত শত ক্রেতা বিক্রেতার আগমণ ঘটে।

People from far and wide, including Narsingdi, Munshiganj, and Comilla, flock to this Kaikartek Hat. The history of boat trading at the traditional Kaikartek Hat is about 250 years old.
The traditional Kaikartek Hat has a history of boat trading that dates back nearly 250 years. Although the hat is held throughout the year, boat trading is only conducted during the four months of Ashadh, Shravan, Bhadra, and Ashwin. At that time, hundreds of buyers and sellers from surrounding districts arrived to buy good quality boats.
