Traditional fishing boat, also called "moon boat", at Inani beach , Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh, December 2020. The "moon boats" are made by traditional carpenters using local “shiuri” wood. A moon boat is about 8 metres long, weighs less than 4 tonnes and can host a crew of 4-5 fishermen. Unfortunately, since two decades, the traditional fleet of moon boats in Bangladesh is gradually disappearing.
