Elva, 10, sitting on a died coconut tree near Tina River in Niu Birao village. Elva's family house stood on the place where the river flows now. In April 2014 the house was washed away by flood along with other 20 houses. Many families lost their homes and gardens, some still live in tents. Some children stopped going to school because their parent don't have money to pay school fees. Oxfam is providing support and resilience training to the affected communities to help people to be more prepared for future disasters, uncertainty and stresses.

photografy ছেলে খেলা না... একটা ছবির জন্য.. আমাদের অনেক ঘুম হীন রাত কেটে যায় ।একটা ছবির জন্য... কোন কোন সময় জিবনের ঝুকিও চলে আসে. তবুও আমরা থেমে নাই.. চলছি .. দিগন্তের পথে...

Evening Catch....The Short Eared Owl. @ Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

I had to crawl around 30-40 ft slowly on rough terrain ground (see the previous pic) to get close to it. At one point I was within min focusing distance and had to crawl back :)

The effort was worth it. One of my best of this species. Love it :)
