History
Simbo was founded by Sabrina, a young French entrepreneur who studied international business law abroad. During her stays in France, she was very involved in international student associations, such as ESN, and was notably elected President of the Bureau Des Residents of the Cité International Universities de Paris.
Simbo is a quality company. All the services were created according to the feedback received from international students in France in order to respond to the difficulties they encounter when they arrive:
• procedural delays: it takes an average of two months to open a bank account, obtain a SIM card and subscribe to the mandatory insurance in France
• the language barrier: French organizations do not train their employees to welcome internationals. It is very rare to find a banker or a cell phone salesman who speaks English.
• the interdependence of procedures: for example, to obtain a SIM card in France, you need to have a bank account, but to open a bank account, you need to make an appointment by phone.
Service
The "subscribe to my contracts" service allows international students to obtain a bank card and a bank account, a SIM card and a cell phone subscription, and all the mandatory insurance contracts, notably housing, and civil liability, within 24 hours of their arrival in France.
More specifically, Simbo is an intermediary between international students and banks, telephone operators, and insurance companies. We pre-order all contracts and documents and make appointments in a single office on the day of the students' arrival.
How it works
Before arriving in France, international students must go to www.simbo.io and purchase the "subscribe to my contracts" service. Once the payment has been made, they will receive an email with the procedure to follow. They will have to answer a questionnaire (name, first name, a school in France...) and send to Simbo photocopies of supporting documents (passport, letter of acceptance in a school, and proof of residence, even temporary).
