Yesterday, DUET Photographic Society (DUETPS) successfully concluded its Post-semester Photowalk : Capturing the Nature, at the BIPSOT Training Area, Rajendrapur Cantonment, Gazipur.
The BIPSOT training area in Rajendrapur Cantonment is a masterclass in natural geometry, where the disciplined order of a military zone melts into the wild, rhythmic beauty of the ancient Shal forest. The landscape is dominated by the towering, vertical lines of Sal tree trees, creating a dense canopy that filters the sunlight into dramatic, shifting beams. On the ground, the vibrant, copper-toned Lal Mati soil provides a rich color contrast to the overwhelming greenery, often carpeted by a textural layer of crisp, fallen leaves. This serene wilderness is punctuated by the historic rail line, which cuts a sharp, silver path through the "Green tunnels" of overhanging branches, offering a perfect vanishing point that feels both nostalgic and timeless. Together, the sprawling canopy shadows and the mirrored surfaces of the local wetlands create a peaceful, untouched sanctuary that feels worlds away from the urban bustle.
A massive thank you to everyone who set their alarms for 6:00 AM and joined us yesterday.
Your energy and creative eyes made the trek truly special.
