“Never measure the height of a mountain until you reach the top. Then you will see how low it was.” - Dag Hammarskjöld.
The Highest peak of Bangladesh is approximately 6000ft. & I’m planning for to go to 15,000ft above the sea level. I was to excited to see the view from the top. AND this was my journey:
Day 1 - The journey started at 10PM from Motijhill, Dhaka. Destination 15,000ft above from the sea level.
Day 2 - Crossed immigration within 10AM at Benapole & entry to Haridashpur, India. Haridashpur to Habra to Kolkata - way the is something different. When I going forward the temperature is getting high. At 2.30PM reached Kolkata. Kolkata city is one of the oldest city with historical aspects. The roads, market & street food were really amazing. The best thing about Koltata is their metro rail system. At 7PM, started journey for Siliguri. Which is 574KM far from Kolkata. The experience of 4 hours in Kolkata was amazing.
Day 3 - Reached Siliguri at 11AM by crossing Krishnanagar, Dumka, Pakur, Farakka & Malda. Each & every village of India is different. After 2PM, started journey for Sikkim. After passing 1 hour, the mountain roads started. Zeep needs to slow down the speed & I’m enjoying the view. Sevoke to Kalimpong, the roads are in between Tista River & Mountain. Both sides of eyes were hills & mountains and in down tista river. After crossing Kalimpong, reached Rangpo then Gangtok. The full way was under the clouds. I’m going high inside the clouds. The view was something else. I’m standing 8,000ft above the sea level & clouds are under me. Then reached Gangtok city at 9PM.
Day 4- The morning starts with a amazing view. Seeing Clouds, mountain & rain from my window. After finishing rain, started journey for East Sikkim. From Gangtok city to Tsomgo to Nathulapass to Indo-China Border. I’m at the top of 15,000ft up from the sea level. The temperature was 2 degree Celsius. The views form there can’t describe in words. Clouds were downtown form me. No one at the place. The scenario was just awesome. After visiting all the places again started return journey.
At night I reached at my hotel.
Day 5- Visits the Gangtok city. The temples, historical places & the famous MG Marg Market. After finishing city sight seeing again started journey for Siliguri. At 4PM reached at Siliguri. Then visited Siliguri’s Hong Kong market & other places. Then at 7pm started journey for Kolkata.
Day 6- Reached Kolkata at 7AM. Visited new market, eden garden & some near places. At then started journey for home at 12PM. At 4pm reached Haridashpur Checkpoint & finished immigration within PM. Then started journey for Dhaka at 7PM.
Day 7- Non stop journey from Gangtok to Siliguri to Kolkata to Benapole to Dhaka comes to end after 42 hours. Reached home at 4.20AM. AND the journey of 2380KM with 12 Cities comes to END.
The mountain journey is sometimes another level journey I must have to say it.
