Standing on the platform, watching the train slowly leave with the people I love inside.

Railway stations remind me how many emotions can exist in a single moment. Arrivals, departures, hope, uncertainty, reunions and quiet goodbyes all happening in the same place.

Standing there, I felt how meaningful these small moments with the people we love truly are.

Sometimes it takes a simple moment like this to realize how precious every meeting really is.

After almost three years, one of my old dove visitors found me again. There was a time when doves visited me daily, then life changed and I moved on… and today, one of them returned.
It came to my tiny balcony to drink water and eat, just like old times. This small moment filled my heart with such a deep sense of peace.
Sometimes, kindness finds its way back to us in the most unexpected ways. Alhamdulillah for these gentle reminders.

Boroi, or jujube.
A staple of winter afternoons in Bengali homes, this humble fruit comes in many varieties across the country. While the deshi kind is known for its sharp bite, eaten with salt and chilli, this variety ripens into a gentle sweetness. Still, boroi carries memories of school breaks, pockets full of fruit, and the quiet comfort of seasons we grew up with.

A little fight, a shared bowl, and one sparrow quietly stopping to drink.
I see them eat every day, but catching them quench their thirst feels rare.
And every time I do, my heart feels full.
