Happy Birthday to Manzoor Alam Beg!

Today, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Manzoor Alam Beg (1 October 1931 – 26 July 1998), a legendary Bangladeshi photographer and the father of fine art photography movements in Bangladesh. Known affectionately as Beg Sir, he dedicated his life to promoting photography as an art form and educating future generations of photographers.

Manzoor Alam Beg founded the Begart Institute of Photography in 1960, the first photography training center in Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Photographic Society in 1976. His contributions to the field earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2007.

Let’s honor his legacy and remember his incredible impact on the world of photography.
