Begart institute of Photography pays heartfelt tribute to Raghu Rai, one of India’s greatest photographers and a towering figure in Indian photojournalism. Bangladesh will forever remember his contribution to the Liberation War in 1971 for his empathatic take on the suffering multitude.
Raghu Rai is one of the many master photographers in the world whose work is discussed in advance classes as part of Begart's curriculum.
His passing away is an immense loss to the world of photography, art, and public memory. But his images will continue to guide generations of photographers to look deeper, wait longer, and see the the unfolding reality with a critical eye and a compassionate mind.
We pay our sincere homage to the master.
Raghu Rai will remain one of the world's most enduring visual voices.
