Sometimes I feel like the moon is the only one who listens without interrupting. I stand there, looking up, saying things I cannot say to anyone else. The small hurts. The silent disappointments. The memories that still knock on my heart at night.
But tonight he is hiding.
Maybe even the moon needs a break from me. Maybe I have repeated the same story too many times. The same name. The same pain. The same "what if."
It feels strange when even the sky does not answer back.
The clouds move slowly, like they are protecting him from my words. And I am left standing there, holding feelings that have nowhere to go.
Still, I wait.

100 was my favorite number... until I saw 99.
Suddenly, 100 did not feel special anymore.
Because 99 is so close, just one step away from being whole, yet it never gets called perfect.
People celebrate 100. They clap for 100. But 99?
99 gets silence.
No one sees how hard it tried or how far it came.
They only see what is missing.
And I do not know why, but I feel sad for 99.
Sometimes, being almost hurts more than failing. That missing "one" screams louder than the ninety nine things it got right.
Maybe some of us are 99 too.
