THE CAMERA THAT CHANGED ME

I picked up a camera to capture the world. But along the way, the world changed me.

Every person I met, every story I heard, and every life I witnessed taught me something about pain, courage, dignity, and hope.

Over the years, I realised that photography is not just about taking pictures. It is about understanding people, feeling their stories, and seeing life differently.

My camera helped me see the world. The people I met taught me how to understand it.

THE CONCERNED PHOTOGRAPHER

We care. We care about people’s lives, the injustices happening around us, the destruction of our environment, and the resilience of those who continue to fight against all odds.

We are concerned photographers. We don’t simply take pictures; we dedicate our lives to stories that matter. We document what needs to change, what must never happen again, and what deserves to be seen, appreciated, and remembered.

This is not always an easy path. Our work is often misunderstood, rarely rewarding, and sometimes comes at a great personal cost. Yet we continue, because remaining silent is not an option when there is so much that needs to be seen and understood.

For me, photography has never been just about pictures. It is about empathy, responsibility, and our shared humanity.

We don’t photograph simply because we have a camera. We photograph because we care about the world and believe it can be better.

I have met people carrying the weight of the world, yet never surrendering their dignity.

Their hands tell stories of struggle. Their faces hold the strength of survival.

The world may overlook them, but their humanity deserves to be seen.

Behind every photograph is a human life, a story, a struggle, and a strength that deserves to be seen.

I don’t photograph these lives to ask for pity. I photograph them because they matter. Because their stories matter. And because looking away should never be easier than caring.

MY EXHIBITION AT DAEJEON PHOTO FESTIVAL 2026 — SOUTH KOREA

I’m honored to have exhibited my work at the Daejeon Photo Festival 2026, held in South Korea from September 9–20 under the theme “LABOR.”

Bringing together 16 photographers from 10 countries, the festival explored work, human dignity, and the lives shaped by labor.

For me, photographing working people has always been about recognizing their humanity and honoring their dignity.

My sincere thanks to the organizers and curators for making this exhibition possible.

THE HOME WE ARE LOSING!

Look around.

The trees are disappearing.
The rivers are turning black.
Plastic is filling our water.
Smoke is filling our lungs.

We are slowly destroying the very place
that gives us everything we need to live.

We think the Earth is suffering.

But the truth is—
we are the ones who will suffer.

The air we poison is the air our children will breathe.
The water we destroy is the water they will drink.
The trees we cut are the shade they will never know.

The Earth may survive without us.

But we cannot survive without the Earth.

If we don’t protect our home,
who will?

This is not someone else’s problem.
This is our home.
Our life.
Our future.

And there is no other home.

Every Face Carries a Story!

Some faces stay with you long after the photograph is taken.

Every person I have met has left something behind—a story, a moment, a feeling I was not allowed to forget.
