A World in Black and White 2.0 : Executive Board edition
Bringing back our original serious “A World in Black and White” on the occasion of ekushe February, here are some pictures taken by our EB board. This segment pays homage to the brave martyrs of 1952, who sacrificed their lives for the right to speak in their mother tongue. Through monochrome photography, we remove away the color to highlight contrast, composition, and raw emotion, capturing the spirit of linguistic and cultural identity.

Since a lot of people were asking this is how Pictures Will Be Judged for our SIPC’25 ‼️

To maintain fairness and transparency, the judging process will be conducted through two methods:

Public Voting – Most Valuable Photographer
Process:
· Students will cast their votes anonymously using a ballot box system.
· Voting will take place during lunch breaks (dates will be announced soon)
· The participant with the highest number of votes will receive the title Most Valuable Photographer and be awarded an SD card.

Executive Board & Faculty Judging (Category Awards)
Process:
· Photos will be evaluated by the Executive Board Members and Faculty Advisors based on a structured judging system to eliminate bias.
· Winners will be selected from the three official categories:
-Street Photography
-Sky Photography
-A World in Black & White 2.0

Award cermeony will take place on 20th February for Category awards. Best of luck to all participants!

🏆 Presenting the Prize for Our “Most Valuable Photographer” Award! 🏆

Yes, you heard it right—the winner of this prestigious title will take home an SD card! You’ll get to choose a model that fits your camera, and if you don’t have a camera you’re free to use it however you like.

But here’s the twist—YOU will decide the winner! This award will be determined by public vote. Visitors at our photo exhibition will have the chance to pick their favorite photograph, and the one with the most votes will claim the title of Most Valuable Photographer.

To ensure fairness, all photos will be displayed anonymously, so the focus stays on the art itself.

What are you waiting for? Capture your best shot, earn the votes, and take this SD card home!

Presenting the segments that will be present for our Intra School photography competition:

Segment 1: Sky photography 🌥

Photographers are challenged to capture the vast, ever-changing canvas of the sky, from breathtaking sunrises to dramatic cloud formations. This category celebrates the beauty, mystery, and grandeur of the sky, showcasing its moods and splendor. Judges evaluate submissions based on composition, color, lighting, and emotion evoked through the sky’s portrayal. Creativity and technical skill in capturing unique perspectives are key in determining standout entries.
