Film: Detachment is a quiet reminder that not every battle is visible.
It tells a story about loneliness, trauma, emotional distance, and the weight people carry every single day without anyone noticing. It doesn't try to evoke tears with dramatic moments. Instead, it shows how broken people continue to live, smile, teach, and exist while silently falling apart inside.
Adrien Brody delivers one of those performances that feels less like acting and more like watching a real person trying to survive. The film doesn't offer easy answers or happy endings. It simply asks you to look at people with a little more kindness, because you never know what they're dealing with behind closed doors.
Some films entertain you. Some films change the way you look at people.
Detachment is one of those films.
