π¬ Movie #1 β October Sky (1999) π
Today I watched October Sky, and honestly, I didn't expect this movie to affect me this much.
The movie tells the inspiring true story of Homer Hickam, a young boy from a small mining town who dreams of building rockets. While everyone around him expects him to follow the same path as his father, Homer chooses to follow his own dream.
What I liked most about this movie is its message: your circumstances don't have to define your future.
Homer faces failure, criticism, financial problems, and even disagreement with his father. But he keeps learning, experimenting, and trying again. His teacher, Miss Riley, also plays an important role by believing in him when many others don't.
One thing I learned from this movie is that sometimes the hardest part of achieving a dream is simply believing that you are allowed to dream bigger.
The movie also made me think about the relationship between parents and children. Sometimes parents don't understand our dreams because they are trying to protect us or guide us toward what they believe is a safe future.
π My favorite lesson:
βDon't let other people's expectations become the limit of your dreams.β
β My rating: 8.5/10
A beautiful, emotional, and inspiring movie. Definitely worth watching.
