To the Honorable Government and People of Malaysia,Dear United Nations, UNHCR, and the Government and citizens of Malaysia,
We, over one million Rohingya people, humbly appeal to you with sincere hearts. For the sake of Allah, Muslims, humanity, and for the brotherhood, we share as Muslims, we request your urgent compassion and action, please kindly release those persecuted Rohingya people who have been suffering in Malaysian jails for a long time.
These individuals are notcriminals. They are victims of genocide and persecution at the hands of the Burmese military and the terrorist Buddhist group known as the Arakan Army (AA). Fleeing from unspeakable violence, they sought safety butinstead, many were arrested due to their lack of identity documents in Malaysia and detained indefinitely. As a result, their families especially their elderly parents in the refugee camps of Bangladesh are living in constant pain and uncertainty. longing for news of their beloved sons.
We over one million Rohingya were once a majority community in the Arakan state of Myanmar, but we were strippedofour citizenship and violently displaced. Over one million of us are now scattered across various countries in search ofsafety and dignity. Yet even in exile, many of our people remain in detention simply because they are stateless.
Dear Government of Malaysia, as a respected Muslim nation, we believe you understand the deep pain and suffering our community endures. Our pain is your pain. As Muslims, we are brothers and sisters in faith, and we hope you will show mercy to those detained. Releasing them will not only bring relief to grieving families but also earn the blessings of Allah for an act of justice and kindness.
We, the educated, the elderly, and the activists of the Rohingya community from the world's largest refugee camps in Bangladesh, plead with you humbly. please release our Rohingya people from Malaysian jails. Their parents are falling ill from the mental anguish caused by their sons' absence and the lack of information.
Please act with humanity, with faith, and with compassion. If you were in our place stateless and without refuge you would feel ourpain. We urge you to helpus. May Allah reward your mercy and bless Malaysia with peace and prosperity.
