"The Weight of What We Leave Behind"

On World Environment Day, conversations often revolve around saving the planet. Yet, far from conference halls and social media campaigns, some lives unfold in the shadow of what the world throws away.

Amid mountains of discarded plastic and waste, two young men search for something of value, while a hungry cow wanders through the same landscape in search of food. What appears as garbage to many becomes survival for others.

This is more than a story about pollution. It is a reflection of consumption, inequality, and the silent cost of convenience. Every piece of waste here once belonged somewhere else used for a moment, discarded without a thought, and eventually finding its way into someone else’s reality.

World Environment Day is not only a reminder to protect nature; it is a reminder to take responsibility for the footprints we leave behind.
