A little break from the summer heat before this weekend’s wedding.

Looking through my archives, I found this rainy day session. Their wedding was blessed with sunshine, but on this day we followed the story as it unfolded — clouds, rain, and all.

My approach to wedding photography is strictly documentary. I believe in capturing the day as it naturally unfolds, rather than directing or staging scenes.

It starts in the stillness, documenting spaces that are waiting to be filled with life. This quiet anticipation sets the foundation for the day. As guests gather and events progress, I focus on authentic emotions—from moments of deep reflection to the spontaneous interactions that define the atmosphere.

My goal is to create an honest narrative of these moments, allowing the day to flow without interference.

Rather than trends, I prefer moments that carry meaning and weight. That is where I see a strong connection between what is happening in the moment and what will eventually become a memory.

U svijetu gdje se sve mjeri brojem pregleda, lajkova i prolaznih trendova, lako je zaboraviti što vjenčanje zapravo predstavlja. Vjenčanje nije scenografija za TikTok video, niti je to dan kada gosti trebaju loviti savršeni k*t za "reels" kako bi uhvatili korak s nekim trenutnim online izazovom.
To je dan koji pripada isključivo njima dvoma.
Dopustimo mladencima da budu u središtu svog vlastitog svemira, bez pritiska da zabave algoritam. Jer prave uspomene ne žive na internetu, nego u srcima onih koji su ih proživjeli.
Nečije vjenčanje nije naša pozornica. To nije prilika da sebe guramo u prvi plan, da hvatamo kadar pod svaku cijenu kako bismo se svidjeli nekoj online publici, niti mjesto za dokazivanje "kako i s čime" radimo.
Naša oprema, naši trikovi i naša prisutnost ne smiju zasjeniti ono što se u tom trenutku slavi.
Mi nismo zvijezde tog dana. Tu smo iz jednog jedinstvenog razloga: jer nam je dvoje ljudi poklonilo svoje apsolutno povjerenje da zabilježimo najvažniji dan u njihovom životu. Naš posao nije privlačenje pažnje na sebe, već tiho, neprimjetno i s dubokim poštovanjem čuvanje njihovih uspomena✨️

Session nakon vjenčanja trebao bi biti trenutak u kojem mladenci konačno mogu udahnuti, opustiti se i uživati u danu. Da bi se to uopće postiglo, ključna je komunikacija mjesecima unazad.
Kroz razgovore od samog početka definira se sve: od odabira prave lokacije (poput ove predivne vinarije) do dinamike samog dana. Kada se kroz proces komunikacije postavi jasan plan, sam session postaje prirodan nastavak priče, bez stresa i pritiska. 🥂

A post-wedding session should be a moment where the newlyweds can finally take a breath, relax, and just enjoy the day. But for that to happen, communication in the months leading up to it is key.
Through conversations from the very beginning, everything gets defined—from choosing the right location (like this beautiful winery) to the flow of the day itself. When a clear plan is set through steady communication, the session becomes a natural continuation of the story, completely free of stress and pressure. 🥂
