We drove through this little village on the east coast of the Peloponnese. Made some friends along our cold and windy walk 🐈

Today is day one of our new adventure. I won’t count the last two weeks of uncertainty as our flights were cancelled and we lost payments on our accommodation. Or the past three days spent in transit after all the rearrangements. I just have to remember how lucky we are to be able to travel right now and visit such beautiful places.
So today we woke up in gorgeous Nafplio. It is very cold and very rainy, but so lovely.
I’ll try and post a little as we go, and I’ll also be taking some photos to add to my travel collection as well as writing about how I came to be in this place of discovery. Maybe to share or maybe just for me.

♥️ At the start of the year, I purchased tickets to the Lady Gaga concert as it fell in the middle of my partner and my birthday. Of course I knew some of her music but the hope was to see a real “show” as I’ve admired her as a strong, creative woman since she began her career.
Apart from the pain of actually getting into the stadium with seemingly half of Australia, the show was one of the most incredible performances I’ve ever seen. It was pure theatre.
The lighting, dance, staging, costumes and atmosphere was mind-blowing. Then add her talent, not just as a singer but as a performer, along with her humbleness, I will be a fan forever.
I could not stop thinking how lucky we were to have that level of talent (on every level) in our country. Definitely a birthday present to remember ♥️

💙💙💙 The year of 60… it brought big revelations, challenges, and changes, and will always be one to remember. From finally recognising and beginning to heal a health concern that has affected every aspect of my life, to adjusting to the kids moving away, to the thrill of holding another solo exhibition and joining the art gallery — it’s been a busy and interesting year.

But the biggest and most wonderful part of turning 60 was finding lost family I never knew existed. Our trip to learn a little about my heritage turned into so much more, and I can’t put into words how life-changing and beautiful it became. The kindness, acceptance and love we experienced during that journey was something I’ve been searching for my whole life. I just didn’t know it until I’d found it 💙💙💙

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday through messages, calls, and songs. I appreciate every one of you for being in my life 💙💙💙

I spent the day with my dear stepsister, then was spoilt by my darling husband with a special birthday dinner at the Greek Club in Brisbane. So many wonderful things to be thankful for 💙💙💙

Just did a quick run into town and as always, dropped in to my favourite store to see the latest goodies. My beautiful fine-art print, The Olive Tree, is still available and looking wonderful between all the yummy textures.
Taken on a little hidden road, next to a monastery in Crete, it is one of my favourite images from that trip.
Olive trees represent wisdom, peace and longevity due to their ability to thrive in harsh conditions. I love that!

Congratulations to the winners! The festival looks incredible and I so wish we had travelled to Sydney to see the exhibition in person. What a huge honour to be a semi-finalist in the midst of such talent.

💙 Adelaide… why did nobody tell me how awesome it is?! All I’d ever heard was how sleepy and basically, boring it is. I had the most incredible time recently, with so much still to explore. The city was so easy to navigate, the gorgeous hills are minutes away, as is the glorious coastline. The beautiful cottages, art galleries, music, wineries, food… it was all simply amazing. Add to that the cooler weather, I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to visit. One week was definitely not enough.

Something incredibly exciting has happened!!

I'm an official Head On Photo Awards 2025 Semi-finalist!!

See my work in the Semi-finalists digital exhibition at Bondi Pavilion Gallery alongside the Head On Portrait Awards exhibition, 8-30 November.

I haven't entered photography awards for many years, but decided to this year as it coincided with my solo exhibition. It is such a big deal as the comp is open to photographers from across the world and is judged by amazing talents as well. To say I am thrilled is an understatement.
