I don’t know where to start with Lucy & Dan’s incredible wedding.
The day started at Lucy’s parents beautiful place in Deniliquin , in the middle we had the oncoming storm hold off just long enough to have the ceremony outside and then we had Lucy and Dan and their guests dancing out in the rain during canapés and ended the night ankle deep in mud for what was a wild dance floor.
Lucy and Dan’s wedding was simply incredible, and it is not one I will forget in a hurry!

Weddings don’t always run to plan and in my experience it’s in those times when you go with the flow, that some real magic can happen.

We had just finished the ceremony and we had planned to go down to the beach with the wedding party but because of circumstances out of anyone’s control that didn’t happen.
It was super bright, and without a cloud in the sky. I turned to Madie & Mark and said do you guys want to go join the party now and we can take some extra time at sunset to do all your portraits.
Madie and Mark, had full faith in me and agreed straight away.

As we drove up to the spot we had chosen just before sunset, I was double guessing myself, as the clouds had come in thick and the sun was no where to be seen.
We got out of the car, walked up to the lookout at the top of the hill and the clouds parted and I instantly knew we had made the right decision.

Your wedding day might not go to plan, there are so many factors out of anyone’s control but my advice is be like Madie and Mark and roll with it, because in all honesty, things tend to have a way of working out for the better.

A lot of you might not know, but Janelle and I a few years ago decided to move out to the country and try our hand at running a hobby farm, after looking long and hard we finally decided to settle in an awesome little town called Yea, so when one of the boys from the local butcher called me and said he was marrying one of the girls from the supermarket and that they were having a backyard and then having the reception at one of the pubs in town, I have to admit I was pretty excited.
Rhett & Amanda did their wedding their way, and we all had a blast.

When I got the email about Rory and Ola wedding I couldn’t of been more excited, these legends got married on a random rooftop in the city and then had a picnic in the park with a few of their favourite people.

These guys couldn’t of had a day that was any more them if they tried, and honestly I wish more people would get married this way 😍😍

A few days before the wedding Elle and I were chatting and she mentioned that her and John don’t really like being in front of the camera, I reassured her that her wedding day would be one of the easiest days to get photographed.

I explained you combine all the emotions of the day, the build up to the wedding, the fact that all your favourite people are there to celebrate your relationship, you then add a few drinks and some good music and it all falls into place.

I present you exhibit A - Elle and John absolutely smashing their sunset portraits during golden hour!
